A blade for a paper shredder having auxiliary blades (14a) which are substantially thin, wherein an inner side of each of the auxiliary blades (14a) is provided with a protruding ring (14c) to block up thickness of the auxiliary blade (14a). The auxiliary blades (14a) are arranged in pairs, each pair using a protruding ring (14c) juxtaposed and facing another protruding ring (14c), and joined to form one of a set of cutting disks (14). Hence, fabrication of the cutting disks (14) uses less than half the material compared to prior art, and weight is correspondingly lighter. Furthermore, cutting edges (14b) of each of the auxiliary blades (14a) are formed by folding multi-layer knife edges to increase thickness, which are then flattened to form oblique angles, and finally trimmed to remove excess knife edges. Because the entire cutting edge is thicker than a cutting edge of a prior art paper shredder, the blade does not easily cause paper jamming and achieves smooth shredding of paper. |
