A fish attractant contains at least one trigger substance having a smell, taste, and/or colour for attracting fish and substantially no water. A bait pouch comprises a water-soluble container 22 containing said attractant 26. For preference the pouch is made from polyvinyl alcohol (PVA, PVOH). The lack of water in the attractant composition means that the pouch material is not degraded prior to immersion in water during use. |
