A power transmission system of a hybrid vehicle is provided to improve power transmission efficiency by changing a power transmission structure, and to prevent energy circulation. A power transmission system of a hybrid vehicle comprises a planetary gear unit provided in a transaxle housing of the hybrid vehicle and including a first planetary gear(12) and a second planetary gear(14) and a third planetary gear(16), a driving motor unit(20) including a first motor unit(22) connected to the third planetary gear so as to transmit power and a second motor unit(24) provided to transmit power to a driving shaft through the second planetary gear so as to operate the driving shaft together with power generated by the engine, a clutch unit(30) connected to the planetary gear unit so as to enable the hybrid vehicle to run by changing an operation mode of a transmission at least a critical mechanical point wherein a mode conversion between a first compound-split mode and a second compound-split mode occurs, and a controller(40) controlling the operation mode of the driving motor unit and the clutch unit according to an operation mode of the hybrid vehicle.
