PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem where the configuration of a conventional recording device is large which is provided with a function where a copy frequency information is embedded in picture or sound as an electronic watermark, and that information controls copying, because a part for detecting an electronic watermark for reading copy frequency and a part for updating the embedded copy frequency information and embedding it in the picture and sound as an electronic watermark are required. SOLUTION: As a pre-process for embedding an electronic watermark in a picture signal, a means 1 for dividing a picture of single frame into n-pieces and a means 2 for embedding the electronic watermark in each of n-pieces parts divided by the dividing means are provided. |
