A refrigerator is provided to install a motor for transferring ice at a main body to minimize reduction of a containing space in a storage compartment due to an installation space of a motor and to reduce a motor noise transmitted to a user through a door. A refrigerator includes a main body(10) having a storage compartment inside, a door(20) opening and shutting the cabinet compartment, an ice bank(140) mounted at the door for storing ice, and a transfer member(150) installed in the ice bank for guiding movement of ice while rotating. A motor(160) is installed in the main body. A power transmitting unit(180) is installed to transfer power of the motor to the transfer member. The power transmitting unit includes a first regulating member(181) fixed at a rotary shaft of the motor and a second regulating member(182) engaged with the first regulating member when the door is closed, and separated from the first regulating member when the door is open.
