STANDBY POWER SUPPLY APPARATUS

A standby power supply apparatus is provided to reduce consumption of a standby electric power by reducing a supply voltage of the standby power source by half. An alternating current rectifier circuit(210) rectifies an input alternating current power source, and a detector(260) detects a divided voltage of the rectified alternating current power source. A standby transformer(230) converts the divided voltage to a lower voltage. A standby transformer is connected to a point at which a rectified alternating current power source is divided, and the detector applies the divided voltage of the alternating current power source to the standby transformer. A standby power output unit(240) is connected to an output end of the standby transformer to output a standby power source.
