HIGH RESOLUTION 2D/3D SWITCHABLE DISPLAY APPARATUS

A high resolution 2D/3D compatible display apparatus is provided to adopt various kinds of display devices such as an LCD panel or a self-emission display device and to be expanded into a multi-view type display apparatus. A high resolution 2D/3D compatible display apparatus(100) includes a display panel(120), a lenticular lens array(140), and a spatial light modulator(160). The display panel arranges display devices thereon. The lenticular lens array has a plurality of lenticular lenses to emit signals separately to a left eye visual field(170) and a right eye visual field(180). The spatial light modulator has a plurality of cells which are switched by being synchronized with vertical scan time of the display panel and changed into a transparent or opaque state. The display panel sequentially displays an even field composed of even rows of data of left eye images and right eye images and an odd field composed of odd rows of data of the left eye images and the right eye images.
