A textile machine makes fancy yarn by the creation of intermittent thickened sectors at chosen points, formed by a brief sideways transfer of the yarn. The transfer assembly (A) deflects the thread sideways and has a motor-powered throw-lever (3) which in one direction has slight under-delivery, and in the other direction a strong over-delivery of the thread (F, F2). The upright rigid throw-lever (3) is coupled to preferably a taut wire, cable or belt (2) and deposits the thread as a loop. The throw lever oscillates and is coupled to a servo-motor (6) with encoder (8) which detects the guide (3) changing position. The guide discharges thread in proportion to the volume and length of the section to be thickened and is located close to the heater inlet. |
