A pedal safety device for a vehicle is provided to prevent fatal accident caused by operation error of an acceleration pedal by controlling a brake by a controller while controlling the acceleration pedal by a control unit. A pedal safety device for a vehicle comprises a FWS(100) provided at the front of the vehicle to sense an obstacle, an APS(200) monitoring an angle variable value A of the pedal when the obstacle is sensed by the FWS, a controller(400) comparing the angle variable value A with an angle variable value B of the brake pedal pushed by a driver at the time of sudden brake, a control unit(500) controlling operation of an acceleration pedal(300) when the variable A equals to the variable B, or larger than the variable B, and a brake(600) generating braking force by a signal from the controller(400) according to the variable A.
