A driving device, a display device having the same, and a method for driving the display device are provided to prevent blurring of moving pictures by outputting at least one gray data having a grayness lower than current image data in a stepwise manner. A timing controller(100) receives current image data and a control signal from the outside and outputs first and second control signals. During a first interval of a first frame, the timing controller outputs the current image data. During a second interval, the timing controller sequentially outputs gray and black data which have low and black grayness values, respectively. A data driving circuit(300) converts the current image data to a current pixel voltage during the first interval in response to a first control signal and outputs the current pixel voltage. During the second interval, the data driving circuit sequentially receives the gray and black data and outputs gray and black voltages. A gate driving circuit(400) outputs a gate signal having first and second gate pulses in response to a second control signal. The first gate pulse is generated during the first interval, while the second gate pulse is generated during the second interval.
