A termination for a superconductive cable is provided to protect an inner container and a vacuum insulator interposed between the inner container and an outer container when pressure increases abruptly. A termination includes an inner metal container(2) filled with a liquid cooling medium and a cable, and an outer metal container(3) separated from the inner container by an intermediate space(4) in which a vacuum insulator is disposed. A first rupture partition(6) is attached to a wall of the internal container, and a second rupture partition(7) is attached to a wall of the outer container at the same height as that of the first rupture partition. An empty relief space(8) sealed from the inner space by a pressure-tight wall(9) is interposed between the rupture partitions, the empty relief space having superconductor.
