An upper structure for artificial turf is provided to protect athletes and to improve athletic ability by emitting anions, and purifying water permeated in the water and improving the water quality with tourmaline. An upper structure for artificial turf capable of emitting environment-friendly anions and improving water quality comprises the steps of: forming an artificial turf panel on the upper part of a base layer composed of aggregate and rubble, cleaning and leveling(s1); spreading 200~400g/m^2 of tourmaline ceramics or tourmaline powder on the upper part of the leveled turf panel(s2); spreading 8~15kg/m^2 of EPDM or urethane rubber chips on the upper part of the spread tourmaline ceramics or tourmaline powder(s3); spreading 8~15kg/m^2 of sand on the upper part of the EPDM or urethane rubber chips(s4); spreading 500g~3kg/m^2 of powdered anion ceramics on the upper part of the EPDM or urethane rubber chips mixed with sand(s5); sprinkling water(s6); and measuring anions using an anion measuring instrument(s7). |
