A circuit for generating a voltage of a semiconductor memory apparatus is provided to stabilize the level of a reference voltage even when an external supply voltage increases. A voltage control unit(100) outputs a voltage control signal by sensing the level of an external supply voltage. A voltage supply unit(200) outputs one of the external supply voltage or a first internal voltage in response to the voltage control signal. A first reference voltage generation unit(300) generates a first reference voltage by receiving an output voltage of the voltage supply unit.
