摘要 A scanning type image display device is provided to obtain synchronization of horizontal scanning and vertical scanning surely by a resonance type MEMS(Micro Electro Mechanical System) scanner. A body(8) of an image display device(1) includes laser light sources(2R,2G,2B) or various optical systems. A MEMS scanner(4) scans the light beam mixed by dichroic mirrors(3A,3B) toward the horizontal direction of a screen(7) and is arranged at the light path after mixing the light beam. A movable mirror(9) of the MEMS scanner rotates forward and backward within the predetermined angle range with a torsion bar as the center. The MEMS scanner scans the light beam with a predetermined angle of variation toward the circumference direction of the rotation movement. A galvano scanner(5) scans the light beam mixed by dichroic mirrors toward the vertical direction of the screen and is arranged at the light path after transmitting the light beam by the MEMS scanner.
