An automatic recording method and an automatic recording apparatus of a digital television receiver are provided to output a disaster broadcast when an emergency alarm or an interrupt occurs and to perform an automatic record function. A broadcasting signal receiving member(100) receives digital broadcasting. A storing member(180) stores present received broadcasting. A control member(170) stores the present received broadcasting in the storing member when an emergency alarm or an interrupt occurs, commands the conversion and return of the disaster broadcasting and reproduces the broadcasting stored in the storing member. A broadcasting output member(140) selectively reproduces the stored broadcasting according to the control of the control member. The present received broadcasting is stored in a time shift function. The interrupt information generates by interruption of the video or audio signal received by the present watching broadcasting.
