A display substrate and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to improve affinity between a transparent electrode layer and an organic alignment film by forming the organic alignment film on a buffer layer, thereby improving the reliability of a product and a manufacturing process by reducing a productivity decrease such as PI print work and a pixel defect caused by a pin hole. A display substrate comprises a pixel layer, a transparent electrode layer, an organic alignment film(AL) and a buffer layer(BL). The pixel layer is formed on a base substrate. The transparent electrode layer is formed on the pixel form. The organic alignment film is formed on the transparent electrode layer to align liquid crystal molecules. The buffer layer is formed between the transparent electrode layer and the organic alignment film and is composed of organosilane. |
