A method for measuring disparities, a method for synthesizing interpolation view, a method for encoding and decoding a multi-view video by using the same, an encoder and decoder by using the same are provided to measure the displacement quickly and more accurately through hierarchical displacement measurement using area division and displacement measurement using a variable block, thereby synthesizing the interpolation view of improved image quality. A method for measuring disparities between screens comprises the following steps of: dividing hierarchically the area of a screen on the basis of a feature point by extracting the feature point of each screen and measuring the initial disparity of each basic block in the divided area(S110); and measuring disparity by pixel in the basic block(S220). The feature point is the sum of the gradients of each pixel constructing the basic block.
