An extendable built-in antenna unit for a mobile terminal is provided to prevent resonance disappearance or an antenna gain from being deteriorated, by forming an antenna pattern inside of the terminal. An antenna receptacle(210) extends from an exterior to an interior of a mobile terminal(200), and has a first position and a second position. A helical antenna(230) is disposed in the antenna receptacle, and protrudes outwardly from the antenna receptacle. A whip antenna(220) is disposed in the helical antenna, and protrudes outwardly from the helical antenna. An antenna pattern(240) is formed at a second position of the antenna receptacle. When the helical antenna and the whip antenna are retracted in the antenna receptacle, a signal is transmitted and received by using the helical antenna and the antenna pattern.
