A lamp driving apparatus using solar energy is provided to obtain electric energy from solar energy by using a solar energy collection plate for collecting the solar energy. A solar energy collection plate(103) collects solar energy. An energy converter(106) converts the collected solar energy as thermal energy to electric energy. A distribution unit(109) distributes the electric energy to a main battery(115) and an auxiliary battery(112). The auxiliary battery stores the electric energy. The main battery is mounted in a vehicle. A first switch(118) performs on/off functions according to a start signal of the vehicle. A second switch(121) performs a mode changing function according to an operation of the first switch. A lamp(130) emits light according to a control signal. A voltage/current sensor(127) senses variations of voltage and current applied to the lamp. A control unit(124) controls the first switch according to the start signal of the vehicle and changes modes of the lamp by controlling an operation of the second switch. |
