A system and a method for checking personal possessions by using RFID(Radio Frequency IDentification) are provided to raise time use efficiency and external reliability of a user by preventing the user from forgetting the personal possessions to be carried when the user goes out or returns home. An entry detector(120) detects entry of a user at a gate. A data storing part(110) stores user ID and entry information of personal possessions(210) of the user. An RFID reader(130) reads the user ID information and the entry information of the personal possessions from the personal possessions held by the user in a detection area of the entry detector. A data output part(140) informs the user of a result value comparing the user ID information and the entry information of the personal possessions stored in the data storing part with personal possession information detected by the RFID reader. The user ID information stores the information of the pointed personal possessions to the data storing part by pointing one of the personal possessions to be held by the user and identifies the user by reading the RFID tag of the pointed personal possession through the RFID reader. |
