CONTROLLING METHOD FOR MULTI-TYPE AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM

A controlling method for a multi-type air conditioning system is provided to maintain the optimal condition of the inside by minimizing indoor units in stand-by condition. A controlling method for a multi-type air conditioning system comprises the step of rapidly switching to an operating mode to increase airflow of the other indoor unit if at least one of plural indoor units installed at plural indoor spaces is in stand-by condition. The stand-by condition is the condition in which the indoor units are not operated to approach to the setting temperature. The switch of operating mode is simultaneously executed when every indoor unit is in the stand-by condition. The refrigerants supplied toward the indoor units which are maintained in the stand-by condition stream into the other indoor unit. The airflow of the indoor units is maximized. The plural indoor units are connected to one single condensing device.
