A method and a system for managing a directory are provided to enable a member shop to transmit an event message to customers in a remote place by using an Internet or mobile terminal of the member shop, and calculate information such as loyalty and participation in event based on a response of the customers. A database(120) stores customer information received from the customers agreed to an event message service of the member shop. A directory managing module(130) groups the customers to each group generated according to a rule or a group name selected by the member shop, and transmits the event message to the mobile terminal of the customers included in the group name when a member shop terminal selects the group name. The directory managing module includes a group setting module(131) grouping the customers to each group generated based on the rule of the member shop and assigning the group name to each group, and a text message processing module(132) transmitting a text message to the customers included in the group name when the member shop terminal selects the group name. |
