A method and an apparatus for operating a film coupler are provided to improve durability by enabling a bush block to push up a guide pin inserted into a bearing of a die so as to restore a punch unit to the former position after pumping. A method for operating a film coupler comprises the steps of: installing a tape for film coupling in a film coupler, putting a film to be connected on the film coupler, rotating a lever installed on a pressing device, pressing the film using a pressure plate installed in a punch unit, performing pressing by the pressing device, descending upper and lower operating plates, inserting a guide pin into a guide hole, inserting a guide bar into a ball bush, cutting a tape by a blade installed on the upper and the lower operating plates, removing force pressing the lever, restoring the punch unit to the former position, rotating and turning over the punch unit, and drawing out the connected film. |
