A chassis for a plasma display device is provided to prevent a ventilating tube protective member from being deformed by suppressing a partial bending at a coupling region between the ventilating tube protective member and a chassis base. A chassis for a plasma display device includes a rectangular planar chassis base(300). A ventilating tube through-hole is formed on a portion of the chassis base. A cylindrical ventilating tube protective member(420) is formed to be connected with the through-hole. A reinforcing unit for preventing a slanting of the protective member is arranged on a region for the ventilating tube protective member. The chassis base and another plate type reinforcing unit are overlapped with each other. The chassis base is formed of an iron plate.
