PRODUCTION LINE AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING A MAGNESIUM STRIP

A production line and a method for manufacturing a magnesium strip are provided to obtain the magnesium strip economically by employing a magnesium strip casting device, a winding device, and a finish rolling device. A winding device(18) includes a winding sleeve provided with respect to a rotation shaft of a winding machine mandrill(21). The winding machine mandrill rotates in the winding sleeve. The inner diameter of the winding sleeve corresponds to the outer diameter of the wounded coil. The winding machine mandrill of the winding machine includes at least two segments. The segments radially move in relation to the rotation shaft. A controller moves the segments such that the segments are positioned closely to each other.
