An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) is provided to ensure side visibility by dividing a pixel electrode into two sub pixel electrodes and driving the two sub pixel electrodes through two TFTs, and prevent light leakage by preventing that an electric field generated from a second gate line is transmitted to an LC layer. First and second gate lines(122a,122b) are respectively prolonged horizontally, and aata lines(162,165a,166a,165b,166b) are insulated with and cross the first and second gate lines. First and second TFTs(Thin Film Transistors) are respectively connected to the data line and the first and second gate lines. A pixel electrode is prolonged in a zigzag form as both sides form a slope with the first and second gate lines, and divided into first and second areas(182a,182b) along the prolongation direction. The pixel electrode comprises first and second sub pixel electrodes(184). The first sub pixel electrode is connected to the first TFT, and occupies upper and lower parts of the first and second areas. In the first sub pixel electrode, the first and second areas are connected by connection electrodes(183a,183b). The second sub pixel electrode is connected to the second TFT, and occupies a central part of the second area. One side of the second sub pixel electrode is adjacent to the first area of the first sub pixel electrode, and upper and lower ends are adjacent to the second area of the first sub pixel electrode.
