A nano-capsule and a method for producing the nano-capsule are provided to increase the number of capsules per unit area, by forming a core of the nano-capsule of a thermal sensitive discoloration dye material and a polymer coating film on an outer circumferential surface of the core. A nano-capsule comprises a core formed of a thermal sensitive discoloration dye material, and a polymer coating film formed an outer circumferential surface of the core. The nano-capsule has a size of 1-1000 nm. The thermal sensitive discoloration dye material is a mixture of a coloring material, such as diphenyl aminophenol, terephthaloyl acetanilide, etc., and a developing material, such as toluidine, aminoazobenzene, etc.
