A multimedia message transmission and storage method is provided to be capable of converting a message into a multimedia message to send the converted message, if storage capacities of a memory are larger than the size of the message attached with a multimedia file, thereby sending/storing multimedia messages even when the memory is full. Attachment of a media file is demanded to the currently written message(S305-S315). Storage capacities of a memory are compared with size of the message attached with the media file(S320,S325). If the capacities are larger than the size of the message, the media file is attached to the currently written message to convert the message into a multimedia message(S330-S355). The converted multimedia message is transmitted and stored(S360).
