Bristles having protrusions and a toothbrush comprising the same are provided to have good effects of removing tartar from the teeth by forming protrusions on the bristles. Protrusions are formed on the bristles of a toothbrush. The protrusions are formed through cutting and grinding processes of the bristles, the protrusions are formed by applying an adhesive to the bristles and then dispersing grains having a size of less than 0.1mm that are not harmful to a human body on the bristles, or the protrusions are formed by melting the surface of the bristles by giving heat to the bristles, dispersing the grains having a size of less than 0.1mm that are not harmful to a human body on the bristles and then cooling the bristles.
