A method for producing a thermoelectric skutterudite is provided to improve a thermoelectric characteristic by doping a specific element on CoSb3 and performing an encapsulated induction melting. A thermoelectric skutterudite includes a composition of Co1-xMxSb3. A method for producing the thermoelectric skutterudite includes a process for inserting Co, M, and Sb as raw materials into a quartz tube and encapsulating the quartz tube in a vacuum state. The method further includes a process for heating and melting a mixture of the raw materials within an encapsulated induction melting pot by using radio frequency induction power. The method further includes a vacuum treatment process for the melted materials in order to induce phase uniformity and phase change.
