A fluorescent lamp is provided to extend a lifetime of the lamp by improving a light emitting uniformity of the lamp by arranging electrodes at a center of a discharge space. A fluorescent material is applied on an inner wall of a tube(50). An electrode(54) for emitting electrons is formed at an end of a lead line(52), which is introduced into the tube. A stem(58) for supporting the lead line is formed in the middle of the lead line. A short-circuiting between lead lines is prevented by the stem. A support member(60) is implemented between the stem and the inner wall of the tube and supports the stem, such that the electrode is arranged at a center of a cross-section of the tube. The support member is attached to both sides of the stem and elongated in both side directions, such that one end of the support member is supported on the inner wall of the tube.
