A backlight assembly and an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) having the same are provided to enable a fixing unit and a fixing groove to prevent a gap between a bottom chassis and a mold frame from being loose, thereby improving coupling force. A mold frame(300) receives a light supply unit(200) and has a fixing groove(320) formed on its upper surface. A reflection sheet(400) is disposed in lower parts of the mold frame and the light supply unit. A bottom chassis(500) includes a bottom part covering the lower part of the reflection sheet, and a side part prolonged from an edge of the bottom part. On the bottom chassis, a fixing unit(530) is formed. The fixing unit is protruded from an upper end of the side part and inserted into the fixing groove. |
