摘要 A brake system for hybrid and electric vehicles and a control method thereof are provided to obtain a desired braking force by controlling a hydraulic braking torque according to a variable regenerative braking torque. A brake system for hybrid and electric vehicles includes a driving motor(15), a hydraulic supply unit, a hydraulic braking controller(30), a target braking force sensing unit, and a control unit(50). The driving motor generates a regenerative braking force. The hydraulic supply unit has a brake pedal(21), a booster(22) and a master cylinder(23) to increase pedal effort of the brake pedal, a first hydraulic line, and a reservoir tank(25) to store a brake fluid supplied to the first hydraulic line. The hydraulic braking controller increases or decreases hydraulic braking supplied to a wheel cylinder(7) from the hydraulic supply unit. The target braking force sensing unit is composed of a pedal stroke sensor(41) to sense a stroke of the brake pedal, and a hydraulic sensor(42) to sense hydraulic pressure of the master cylinder. The control unit calculates a maximum regenerative braking torque according to rotation speed of the driving motor to generate the driving motor, and controls the hydraulic braking controller for a hydraulic braking torque to be varied according to a target braking force based on the calculated maximum regenerative braking torque.
