ELECTROPHORETIC DISPLAY DEVICE AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THEREOF

An electrophoretic display device and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to form an electrode having a curved optical pattern to improve the frontal reflectance, thereby improving the brightness in a front direction. A first substrate(110) includes a first electrode(112) of a transparent material, wherein the first electrode has a front optical pattern for improving frontal reflectance. A second substrate(120) is disposed oppositely to the first substrate, wherein the second substrate includes a second electrode(122). A partition wall(130) is disposed between the first substrate and the second substrate to demarcate a space between the first substrate and the second substrate. An image display layer(140) fills the space defined by the first substrate, the second substrate, and the partition wall. The image display layer displays an image by an electric field applied between the first electrode and the second electrode.
