A ceramic body for reducing pollutants of a vehicle and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to reduce soot by improving combustion efficiency and promoting complete combustion of fuel. A method for reducing pollutants of a vehicle is characterized in that engine coolant and air come into contact with a ceramic body produced from CaO, SiO2, Al2O3, MgO, K2O, Fe2O3 and a micro element. The ceramic body consists of a ceramic mixture 100 weight parts and at least one 0 to 10 weight parts selected from a group consisting of titanium oxide, titanium nitrogen, titanium carbide, calcium carbonate, zirconium, silicon nitride, aluminum nitride, silicon carbide, boron carbide, boron nitride and a mixture thereof. The ceramic mixture consists of CaO 0.5 to 70 weight%, SiO2 0.5 to 70 weight%, Al2O3 0.5 to 70 weight%, MgO 0.5 to 70 weight%, K2O 0.5 to 70 weight%, and Fe2O3 0.5 to 70 weight%.
