A subsidiary driving apparatus of a vehicle is provided to promote a thrust force of the vehicle by storing energy, which is generated by a rotation of a driving shaft upon a braking of the vehicle and then using the energy for starting the vehicle. A subsidiary driving apparatus of a vehicle comprises a frame(100) through which a driving shaft(900) passes, a first pinion and a second pinion(210) that are fixed around the driving shaft in parallel to each other, a first rake(110) and a second rake fixed on an upper surface and a lower surface of the frame, respectively, a cylinder(320), a descending unit which lowers the frame upon a stepping force applied to a brake, an ascending unit which lifts the frame upon a stepping force applied to an accelerator, a piston rod(310), a piston(300), an elastic member and a fixing pin(500). The fist rake is engaged to the first pinion upon a descent of the frame. The second rake is engaged to the second pinion upon an ascent of the frame. The cylinder moves up/down along a guiding member(420).
