A HUD system in a vehicle for displaying AV media data using holography is provided to allow safer driving by minimizing a movement line of a driver. A HUD(Head Up Display) system for displaying AV media data using holography includes a vehicle AV processing unit(10), a hologram processing unit(20), and a hologram displaying unit(30). The hologram processing unit converts data inputted from an electronic control device(40) into a hologram image. The electronic control device provides the AV data read through the vehicle AV processing unit to the hologram processing unit. The hologram processing unit converts the AV media data into an hologram image to display the media data provided from the electronic control device on the hologram displaying unit. The vehicle AV processing unit may be coupled with a navigation system for providing traffic information by using GPS(Global Positioning System) information.
