#CMT# #/CMT# The method involves determining a direction and displacement speed (V) of a vehicle (VA) from positions of a vehicle provided by geopositioning units at different time. An area of interest (E) of elongated form is determined, where the area has orientation and length depends respectively on the direction and the displacement speed of the vehicle.
