The cut-off has a hinged cover disposed in closing/opening relationship with a recess through which water is poured for filling and refilling of a boiler to produce a water vapor. A cam (4) with an active surface of a lever rotates relative to a lever shaft that is spaced from a cam surface (6). A compression spring is provided to bias a valve to an open position that remains against an aperture and the lever. An independent claim is also included for a water vapor producing device comprising a chamber.
