<p>A refrigerating system and a control method thereof are provided to minimize a time when food temperature stays in a maximum freezing point generating section when storing food in a freezing compartment, thereby optimizing quality of the food. A refrigerating system includes a rapid cooling button(210) for serving as an input element for rapid cooling of rapid cooling chambers, and a control part(200) for sensing signals output from the rapid cooling button for supplying chilled air to the rapid cooling chambers concentratedly. A sensor part(15) measures a cavity temperature of a general refrigerating compartment. A driving part(220) is driven by a control signal of the control part for driving a blower fan motor(221) and a damper moving motor(222). The control part turns on a compressor(28) and closes an upward path by the damper moving motor in response to a rapid cooling button input. The control part stops operation of the blower fan motor for realizing rapid cooling by the compressor. The upper path is opened by the damper moving motor under the control of the control part for preventing temperature rising of the general refrigerating compartment by the chilled air concentration on the rapid cooling chambers, when the blower fan is operating at a first speed and the measured temperature reaches a first set temperature.</p> |
