<p>The method involves memorizing a set of passage points (x1-x3) of a route (I), and dividing the route into adjacent segments, where ends of each segment (S) correspond to the passage points chosen from effective passage points. The route is divided into the segments if a distance separating a departure point (A) and an arrival point (B) of the route is higher than a predetermined value. Elementary geographical areas are determined for each segment. An area of interest (Z) is constituted by assembling the elementary geographical areas, and the area of interest is memorized. An independent claim is also included for a navigation system for a user of motor vehicle, comprising a geo-positioning unit of vehicle.</p> |
