A method for manufacturing a carved tile is provided to impart a value as an art work to a tile, and to realize a pastel-like color tone and texture when the tile used as an interior material. A method for manufacturing a carved tile(1) comprises the steps of: mixing silica, feldspar, pottery stone with clay, finely dividing mixed powder, kneading the powder with water, firing a molded body(2)(primary baking), applying a glaze thereon, and further firing the glazed body(main baking) to provide a tile; adhering a ground pattern to the tile; chipping the glazed layer(3) by an etching machine to form an intaglio pattern corresponding to the ground pattern; coloring the tile, and firing the tile by heating the tile at 150-250 deg.C for 10 minutes; and cooling the fired tile and removing the glaze attached on a non-carved portion. The coloring step is performed by coloring the tile preheated to 15-250 deg.C in a kiln with a dye solution(5) dropped through a spuit at the engraved portion. The dye solution is prepared by heating 100g of paraffin mixed with 0.1-5g of a dye to 100 deg.C., and is rapidly absorbed to the heated tile upon contact therewith, so that a pastel-tone soft color is realized. |
