#CMT# #/CMT# The multi-layered curtain coating apparatus useful in a paper machine, comprises a unit for displacing a band support (6) from 1-3 m through a coating zone, a coating head having two outflow slits (2c, 3c), an obstruction unit for blocking the outflow slits on its side edges, a unit for adjusting the speed of the displacement unit, a unit for varying the flow of coating compositions (2, 3), and a unit for varying the distance of the coating head. The slit has a width of 5 cm before the obstruction.
