<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dye-sensitized type photoelectric conversion element that can utilizes the light entering from the side of a translucent substrate at high efficiency. <P>SOLUTION: The dye-sensitized type photoelectric conversion element comprises a photoelectric conversion layer, comprising at least a conductive support and a porous semiconductor layer, including dyes, a hole transport layer, and a counter electrode.
