PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a limit switch so as to displaceably and unrotatably support a rod lever for actuating a limit switch body over a whole circumference in the axial direction and the circumferential direction. SOLUTION: In the limit switch with the limit switch body 3, a case 2 to house the limit switch body, a holder 15 attached to the case and in which a push rod 6 to actuate the limit switch body is housed, and the rod lever 18 which is formed into a round rod shape, of which the tip part 18b is nondirectionally and displaceably supported by the holder, and which actuates the limit switch body by pushing the push rod according to displacement, a rotation preventing mechanism 20 to prevent the rod lever from being rotated is installed between the holder 15 and the rod lever 18.
