PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a teaching data preparation device for a working robot capable of accurately and automatically preparing teaching data in a short period on the basis of data of a three-dimensional scanner installed in the robot. SOLUTION: The teaching data preparation device for a working robot comprises the three-dimensional scanner arranged in the working robot as an ancillary unit, and an operation device for processing data read by the three-dimensional scanner. The operation device acquires group-of-points data on a workpiece plane acquired by scanning of the three-dimensional scanner, and position information of an arm of the working robot at the time of scanning, and prepares the teaching data by arithmetically processing both information. A control unit acquires a plurality of group-of-points data on the workpiece plane when the workpiece is a designated size, and composes the plurality of group-of-points data as one group-of-points data, and composes the group-of-points by thinning them out on the basis of predetermined conditions when there are duplicated sections on the group-of-points data.
