PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a jitter quantity calculator capable of accurately and speedily calculating a jitter quantity of an output signal of an electronic device. SOLUTION: This jitter quantity calculator comprises a timing generator for generating timing, a value calculating section for calculating the value of an output signal based on the timing generated by the timing generator, first and second decision sections for deciding, respectively, whether the value of an output signal from the calculating section is equal to or greater than first and second reference values, and a jitter calculating section for calculating the quantity of jitter of the output signal based on the decision results from the first and second decision sections. The jitter calculating section comprises a plurality of jitter quantity calculating means and a section for selecting any one of the plurality of jitter quantity calculating means and for calculating the quantity of jitter of the output signal.
