PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep a conveying motor such as a PF motor 5 sometimes driven synchronously with the other motor 6 waiting without driving with its time superposed being hindered. SOLUTION: The inkjet printer 1 comprises the conveying motor 5 utilized for conveyance of a printing medium, a carriage motor 11 utilized for driving of a carriage 10, and a printing control means 54 which performs operation of a rest time according to generation of heat or accumulation of heat of the conveying motor 5 when the generation of heat or accumulation of heat of the conveying motor 5 is not lower than a predetermined level, and which starts driving of the carriage motor 11 after waiting for the lapse of the rest time.
