The installation finds application in electrodeposition engineering. Its use helps achieve improved quality of the coating. The installation consists of a tank (11) containing a liquid metal bath (12), a channel (13) for the metal strip (1) to run through, whose lower part (13a) is extended by at least two inner walls (20, 22) located each on one side of the strip (1) and oriented towards the surface of the metal bath (12) to form at least one compartment (21, 23). The channel (13) comprises a fixed upper part (30) and a mobile lower part (31) mutually linked by a deformable element (32), as well as means (35) for positioning the part (31) relative to the strip (1).
