An air conditioning system controller for a vehicle is provided to automatically remove moisture on a front window without any additional control by selecting a defrost mode or a mix mode using a mode switch device. An air conditioning system controller comprises a plurality of hooking grooves(20) which are formed around a shaft of a rotary knob(10) at predetermined intervals so that the hooking grooves(20) correspond to each mode of the rotary knob(10). A working hole(22) is formed in a housing(3) while being aligned with one of the hooking grooves(20). A ball(26) is elastically fitted into the actuating hole(22) so that the ball(26) is hooked on the hooking groove(20). A detection member detects a specific mode of the rotary knob(10). A control unit(40) generates a control signal to control the air conditioning system.
